The WVSL (Weatherly Volleyball Summer League) is a co-ed volleyball league for all Weatherly residents, high school alumni, and Weatherly high school seniors and juniors

The WVSL (Weatherly Volleyball Summer League) is a co-ed volleyball league for all Weatherly residents, high school alumni, and Weatherly high school seniors and juniors. The league has evolved over the past several years and now has: a scoreboard, announcers, statisticians, referees, a mascot (Webster the “Wild Thing”), several awards (MVP, Rookie of the Year, Crafty Veteran, Sportsmanship, etc.), all-star games and skills competition day, programs, sponsors, Facebook page, a picnic, a full staff, and several statistics that are kept throughout the season. The purpose of the league is to provide the community with a weekly, family-orientated, recreational event throughout the summer months.

The WVSL was organized in 2010 as a sister league to the WBSL and was inspired by the success of the Weatherly high school girls’ volleyball team. The league’s commissioner, Michael Miller, and the Board of Governors Autumn DeMoor, Justin Hall, Jessica Adamczyk, and Chad Maleski helped establish and create a successful league which currently has 10 teams, 2 conferences, 100+ players, and a full-membered staff. The opening day for the league is Thursday, June 7 and the championship game is Sunday, August 5. Most of the games will be played on Thursday and Sunday evenings with 4 games scheduled at 6pm, 7, 8, & 9.

The WVSL would like to thank all of our sponsors, fans, volunteers, and various other people and organizations that have been helpful and generous throughout the years!
