West Chester Friends School brings enriched academics, including STEM, arts and music, and Quaker values to boys and girls in Preschool - 5th grade.
Founded in 1836, WCFS is the oldest, continuously operating school in the borough and includes in its alumni composer Samuel Barber, members of the Wyeth family and the children of many of West Chester's founding families. Students enjoy interdisciplinary literature and history, STEM studies, Innovation Lab and Smart Table, Studio Art and Art History, Example Gardens and Resident Hens, Vocal and Instrumental Music, and Mindfulness Training. Learning Partnerships include with the Honors College of West Chester University, the Chester County Historical Society and Echo Hill Environmental School. Before and After School Care, plus after school activities including fitness clubs, dance, Makers Club, yoga, and knitting. Graduates go forward with intellectual energy toward lives of caring leadership.
