This season, the 50th, the American Prize-winning Western Piedmont Symphony orchestra will perform 5 Masterworks concerts with the full symphony orchestra, 5 Chamber concerts during our "Battle of the Bows," guest string quartets and 2 youth symphony concerts with the 70-piece youth orchestra, all under the artistic leadership of Maestro John Gordon Ross, who has served as Music Director & Conductor at WPS since 1991.
By donating to WPSymphony, you keep classical music fun and educational for young children at our public Rug Concerts; you make classical music accessible and relevant to students at local schools and colleges through our music appreciation programs; you support budding young musicians in need through our Youth Symphony orchestra scholarships; you bring joy to the sick or homebound through our Silver Serenade concerts for senior adults in nursing homes and Hospice.
Help make life a little more beautiful for people of all ages and in all walks of life: donate to WPSymphony today.
In addition to concerts performed during the regular season, Western Piedmont Symphony has outreach programs for all ages: Rug Concerts for pre-schoolers, in-school concerts for students, and Silver Serenades for senior adult communities.
