West Haven Youth Basketball League is a place for boys ages 11-13 to excel in their basketball skills along with learning the game.
Any resident of West Haven who becomes eleven (11) years of age on or before September 1st, and is not older than thirteen (13) years of age after September 1st, is eligible to participate. The player must be a resident of West Haven at the time of the League’s tryouts.
Tryouts and Player Registration
League tryouts take place each October. All players who participate in the League tryouts are selected to play on a team. The exact tryout dates are advertised in the West Haven Voice, and are also announced in the elementary and middle schools in early October.
Registration for new players is conducted at the time of the tryouts. All first year players must present a birth certificate, or another suitable proof of age, at the time of registration. Players attending tryouts must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian.
Returning players are contacted by their team coach prior to tryouts with registration information.
The registration fee for all players is $80.00 per season. The fee for a second player in the family is $40.00.
