AFJROTC BREIF HISTORY:

Air Force Junior ROTC was founded under Public Law 88-647, called "The ROTC Revitalization Act of 1964," which enabled all US Armed Services to offer a Junior Reserve Officer Training Corps Program at secondary schools that wanted it and met the selection criteria.

Our Unit, NJ-20132, began in school year 2013-2014. The designation "NJ-20132" means that West Orange High school was the second school activated in New Jersey in 2013.

GOAL/OBJECTIVES/MOTTO:

Goal:
The goal of the AFJROTC program is to instill in high school cadets the values of citizenship, service to the unites states, personal responsibility, and a sense of accomplishment.

Objectives:
- Develop skills as a leader and follower.
- Wear the uniform proudly and properly.
- Respect the chain of command with the proper use of customs and courtesies.
- Become proficient in individual, flight drills, and ceremonies.
- Conduct yourself in a socially acceptable manner in all situations.
- Perform assigned duties as required.
- Practice good study habits and time management and strive to pass all your classes.
- Gain and appreciation of and demonstrate the fundamentals of a healthy lifestyle.

NJ-20132 Motto (For 2014-2015):
