Thirty years ago, our Founder, Pastor Sheila Arthurs, encountered the city of Capernaum on her first visit to Israel. The tour guide shared with her group that Capernaum means “city of comfort.”
A PLACE OF COMFORT
The words of the tour guide echoed in her ears. God whispered to her that His women needed a place where they could come away and receive comfort, and the vision for the Gracious Women’s Ministry was born.
MISSION
The Gracious Women’s Ministry’s mission is to create an atmosphere where women can realize spiritual maturity, develop their leadership skills, and minister in the local church, their community, and the world. Through this ministry, many women from all walks of life have been saved, filled with the Holy Spirit, healed, set free from every form of addiction, and has experienced a fresh, personal, and life-changing encounter with Jesus Christ.
