A fundraising event for cancer program and services at Baystate Franklin Medical Center.
Since 2008, Wheeling for Healing has raised almost $200,000 to support cancer services and programs at Baystate Franklin Medical Center.
This event not only raises critical funds for the hospital, it also gives everyone a chance to ride, walk or run in honor or memory of family members, friends, or colleagues who battled cancer.
Sunday, August 16, 2015 marks the 8th annual Wheeling for Healing event. Starting (and ending) on the beautiful Greenfield Community College campus, the event is a fun filled day offering something for people of all ages and abilities. Cyclists will enjoy a 10-mile, 25-mile or 50-mile routes throughout the bucolic roads of the Pioneer Valley with breathtaking views of the Valley and the Connecticut River.
Don't have a bike or haven't been in the saddle for years? No problem! This year we are hosting a 5K walk/run.
Registration for the event is $50 ($25 for cyclists 16 years of age and younger). Fees include commemorative tee shirt, post-ride BBQ, entertainment, and fabulous raffles!
Participate as an individual or form a team! Wheeling for Healing is a great opportunity for families and colleagues to come together and support our community. There’s no better way to spend a fun and sun filled day than being with friends and family and supporting a mission you believe in.
Your fundraising helps our Oncology Department offer our patients the best possible cancer care.
