The White Plains Volunteer Fire Department has been proudly dedicated to saving lives and property since 1960
THE WHITE PLAINS VOLUNTEER FIRE DEPARTMENT WAS FOUNDED IN 1960 BY A GROUP OF FIREFIGHTERS THAT DECIDED TO FORM A DEPARTMENT TO PROTECT THE COMMUNITY OF WHITE PLAINS AGAINST THE THREAT OF FIRE.
51 YEARS LATER, THE VISION HAS NOT CHANGED. TODAY THE FIRE
DEPARTMENT IS EQUIPPED WITH BETTER TECHNOLOGY, AND BETTER EQUIPMENT, BUT THE DEPARTMENT IS STILL FILLED WITH EVERYDAY PEOPLE WILLING TO GIVE THEIR TIME, HEART, LIVES TO PROTECT THEIR NEIGHBOR.
