Whitewater Valley 25

The last LS 750 hp Lima-Hamilton diesel locomotive in regular operation in the world!

Engine 25 was built in 1951 by the Lima-Hamilton Company in Lima, Ohio for Cincinnati Union Terminal. Engine 25 was one of six Lima-Hamilton switchers built for switching the passenger yards. When CUT starting to faze out the Lima's, Cadillac and Lake City Railroad purchased #25 in 1969. When the C&LC went under the Whitewater Valley Railroad purchased #25 in 1973 as their first locomotive.

#25 is still in operation at the Whitewater Valley Railroad.
