75 Public Square - Built 1915. Located on the corner of Hubbell and Benes. Featuring a decorative cornice, this building was the original site of the Whiting Business College.
Offering an extensive business curricula leading to a Certificate, Diploma, Associate Degree or Bachelor Degree, Whiting Business College, a Proprietary college, was registered with the Ohio State Board of Career Colleges and Schools. After experiencing financial difficulties in the early 70's, the College was forced to close its doors on October 29, 1974. Robert Whiting was the last president of Whiting Business College.
