In 2013, Will Westbrook and Brandon "Wurm" Sturm took over as coaches for the Williamstown Jr. Wrestling Team. At that moment, the WillieWurm Project was born. What started with 22 wrestlers has doubled in size to 44 wrestlers this 2014 season.
Wrestling is a sport of individual participation functioning within the framework of a team concept. This aspect contributes to the development of life long patterns of responsible behaviors including discipline, the ability to set goals and achieve them and respect for others. A young person involved in wrestling can be expected to display increasing self confidence and appreciation of their self worth.
