We help people stay in their homes by making repairs and installing accessibility upgrades. Small miracles for safer homes!
We are group of local volunteers striving to make our communities better by providing low income residents with a solution for housing problems such as:
* Roof repair
* Ceiling and sheet rock repair
* Floors/subflooring repairs
* Debris clean-up and yard work
* Lighting installation
* Carpentry
* Plumbing repairs for kitchen and bathroom
* Electrical repairs
* Window/door repair and replacement
* Wheelchair ramp construction and repair
* Weatherization and insulation installation
* Painting
* Security
* Installation of water heaters and other appliances
We except volunteers all shapes and sized and have over 400 volunteers currently working with us everyone from students to stay at home moms
An estimated 1 in 5 all North Carolina residents live in substandard housing, people we help are not able to purchase these necessities for themselves. many of our clients are elderly with 80% being widows and 30% of all clients being disabled.All of our clients have an income below 50% of the average income of an average North Carolina resident. Owning their own homes makes them ineligible for many other types of aid and therefore these housing may not have heating,
