Wilton Parrot Rescue

WPR is a parrot rescue in Wilton, CT, USA. Our goal is to find permanent loving homes for surrendered or rescued companion parrots.

Wilton Parrot Rescue was founded in January 2010 in Wilton, Connecticut and is a small home-based parrot rescue. Our goal is to find permanent loving homes for surrendered or rescued companion parrots. We work with a limited number of birds at a time to ensure individualized attention for each bird and greater adoption success. We have successfully placed and found forever homes for more than 70 parrots since January 2010.

Although we specialize in rehabilitating (if necessary) and re-homing larger parrots, all birds will be considered for surrender on a space available basis. Surrendered birds must have the potential to be re-homed as Wilton Parrot Rescue does not have the space or availability to take in sanctuary birds at this time. All birds coming into Wilton Parrot Rescue must have current medical records ensuring the bird is free of any contagious avian diseases.

Wilton Parrot Rescue welcomes volunteers and values competent foster homes. Given the demands of a rescue organization, monetary contributions in any amount and in-kind donations are greatly appreciated (please see our “wish list”).

We do not facilitate same day adoptions - a minimum of 3 visits are required to ensure an optimal match.
Although there is no application fee, there is an adoption fee, generally between $100 -$500. Cages are generally not included.
