Windsor Prep is K-8 Charter School Located in Pinellas County. We opened in August 2012 and for the 2012-2013 school year we will only have grades K-3, adding grades 4-8 in the 2013-2014 school year.
Windsor places high importance on safety and civility. These are core to having a good learning environment and building character. Above all else, Windsor will be a safe school that provides every child the foundation for success.
Our curriculum is project-based and incorporates technology like Smartboards and iPads into the lessons and projects. Windsor is one of few schools in Florida which is trained in and incorporates the “Habits of Mind” which provide the foundation for success in developing character education, critical thinking skills, and positive mental habits for academic tasks, behavior, and everyday life (see www.habitsofmind.org for details). We view the entire world as our classroom and will have a variety of field trips and other learning activities outside of the school.
