The HRC exists to educate people in the Winfield area about health, housing, economic and social disparities.

The HRC exists to educate people in the Winfield area about health, housing, economic and social disparities; to mobilize people to respond to these disparities; and to advise the Winfield City Commission on issues related to disparities.
Eliminating Prejudice & Promoting Goodwill
Composed of a minimum of 7 members, the Human Relations Commission meets monthly on the 4th Tuesday at 5:00 p.m. in the meeting room of the Winfield Public Library, 605 College St. Members serve 3-year terms. The purpose of the Human Relations Commission is to eliminate prejudice and misunderstanding among the various ethnic, religious and social groups in Winfield and to further goodwill among such groups. It holds hearings upon complaints alleging discriminatory or unlawful practice in employment, public accommodations and housing.
