The Winter Park Paint Out features free painting demonstrations, a garden party and twenty-five professionally acclaimed plein air artists.
The Albin Polasek Museum & Sculpture Gardens hosts the Fifth Annual Winter Park Paint Out during the last week of April 2013. Twenty-five of the finest “plein air” artists will be painting throughout Winter Park and Orlando capturing lush landscapes, urban cityscapes, and treasured local landmarks with oils, acrylics, watercolors and pastels.
April 21-27, the public is invited to stop by the museum, gallery, and gardens all week long to see recently completed works, watch artists painting in the gardens, and to attend FREE painting demonstrations. See the schedule of demonstrations here: http://www.polasek.org/wppo/event-schedule/
The historic Polasek residence will also be open free for viewing. Artwork produced during the paint out will be for sale in the gallery “wet room” with a portion of the proceeds going to support the preservation, maintenance and operation of the Museum and gardens.
The paint out concludes with a special ticketed evening event - The Paint Out Garden Party - which takes place Saturday April 27, from6-9 pm. All artists will be present and patrons are able to discuss and purchase their works. Tickets for the Garden Party are priced at $50 in advance, $75 at the door.
