Winthrop Royalty

Promoting and celebrating the community of Winthrop with poise and grace.

The Miss Winthrop program first started in 1981, and has been providing opportunities for women in the Winthrop community consistently since 1985.

Each year, young women have the opportunity to participate in the Miss Winthrop candidate program to celebrate Grackle Days. A panel of judges chooses a candidate to serve as Miss Winthrop, and another candidate to serve as Winthrop Princess. The candidates also choose a young woman to serve as Miss Congeniality.

Together, these women promote the community throughout the region at parades, community festivals, volunteering in the community and performing community service.
