The Wolcott Whisper was founded by resident Chris O'Brien in 2009. He thought there was an absence of information about town government that affects residents' lives. For many years, we have also been missing the human interest stories that bring us together.
Starting the Whisper is the first step in filling that vacume. Every year we provide adepth profiles at election time. We want to expand our coverage to include stories about local humanitarians, war veterans, everyday activities, and local sports.
We are always looking for new writers, columnists and letter writers.
The Whisper also has marketting packages for local businesses and organizational events.
