Woodlands Tavern provides a casual approach to dining. Our lunch and dinner menus offer dishes prepared on site, with the freshest ingredients available. Our culinary team is led by Executive Chef, Eric Weiss, who strives to provide our guests with new and exciting dishes daily.

Our tavern guests can enjoy eight craft beers on tap, along with signature cocktails featuring a fresh and natural approach - no mixes are used at Woodlands Tavern! A special menu for tavern guests offers all of the favorite bar snacks such as nachos and chicken wings, along with fried calamari and fresh steamed mussels.

We suggest reservations on Thursday, Friday and Saturday evenings so that we can better serve our guests.
History
Established in 2013
During the late 1800's this location was known as The Broadview Inn. Visitors enjoyed panoramic views of Lake Winnipesaukee which at that time was surrounded by open fields. Later, the property was known as Glen Gables, which offered guests the amenities of a lakefront resort with inn rooms as well as a motel, and on site dining. In the early 1980's, the property was renovated to house The William Tell Inn, a Swiss/German restaurant which enjoyed a loyal following and great success for over 30 years.

Woodlands Tavern began as a venture to highlight the friendship and skills of 3 people - Jim, Eric, Renee. Based on a fresh and exciting menu created by owner and Executive Chef Eric Weiss, Woodlands Tavern and the owners and staff hope to make lasting friendships and provide a casual approach to fine dining in the Lakes Region for many years to come!
