In 1929, Dr Bruning started Woodlawn Memorial Park I. He sold the cemetery in 1956 to Ross Sullivan after twenty-seven years of distinguished service to the Joliet area community. In 1969, Dr. Martinucci and Victor Gallo purchased the park and 400 additional feet to the east to allow for more growth. It is our desire to maintain the integrity of service provided since 1929. The beauty of Woodlawn is unmatched by any other cemetery or memorial park in the Joliet area.

We are pleased to offer our families a variety of choices ranging from traditional ground burial, cremation niches, mausoleum entombment, private mausoleums, and lawn crypt burial. Additionally, families have the convenience of a wide variety of personalized funeral services and products through our partnership with Woodlawn Memorial Chapel and Funeral Home.
