The Worcester Kindergarten Initiative is a holistic farm to school program that works with kindergartens in nine public schools in Worcester, MA
The Worcester Kindergarten Initiative is a program of the Massachusetts Farm to School Project and the Worcester Public Schools. It helps children understand how and where food is grown, and learn about nutrition through local food tastings, farm and farmer visits, healthy snacks, classroom lessons and activities, cooking demonstrations and take home produce and information packages.
The Worcester Kindergarten Initiative is running at fnine elementary schools in Worcester for the 2013-2014 school year!
We're happy to be back at Belmont Street Community School, Chandler Elementary School, City View Discovery School, Elm Park Community School, and Woodland Academy and we're very excited to start at Burncoat Street Preparatory School, Chandler Magnet School, Grafton Street School, and Wawecus Road School!
