At Worthington Pediatrics, we know that when treating little ones, it’s the little things that count.

Worthington Pediatrics was established in Gainesville, FL by Dr. Nancy Worthington in 1990. We provide comprehensive pediatric healthcare to children age newborn through age 21. We realize that children are not simply small adults and require a different approach to their care.

Physicals--
We strive to spend extra time getting to know your child, answering your questions, and providing preventative care at your child's yearly physical. We reserve 30 minute appointments for your child's well exam.

Sick Visits--
All sick patients will be given same day appointments. Our office is equipped to handle most routine pediatric concerns, as well as minor emergencies and more complex care including IV and oral rehydration, stitches, foreign body removal, etc. Please call our office at (352) 371-3604 to schedule your chid's sick visit. If you are having a medical emergency you should call 911.

Consults--
Our consult appointments provide you with the opportunity to have in-depth discussions with our clinicians about topics including behavior, inattention, nutrition, autism, development, and much more. When you call our office, please indicate to our front desk staff that you would like to reserve a 30 minute "Consult" appointment for your child. It is usually best for just the adults to attend the initial consult visit so that we may talk freely about your concerns.

Additional services--
In addition to consultations, sick, and well-child appointments, Worthington Pediatrics offers other services including chemical peels for acne, in-office circumcisions for newborn baby boys, and ADHD computer testing (CPT). Please talk to your provider or place a call to our office to discuss these specialty services.

Office Hours--
We are open Monday-Friday from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM. Your call during business hours will always be answered by one of our receptionists--never a computer! Our answering service begins taking messages after 5:00 PM.

Saturdays-- Our office, or that of one of our call partners, will be open each Saturday from 8 am - 12 pm to accommodate acutely ill children. Please call us to be directed to the appropriate location.

After-hours-- All pediatric patients in Gainesville, FL are covered by Pediatric After Hours (PAH) a collaborative effort with the UF College of Medicine and UF Health. Call 352-265-0724 to make your child's appointment during non-office hours.
