The mission of Upward Bound-North is to generate the motivation and skills students need to complete high school, succeed in post-secondary education.
The primary components of the Upward Bound program include: regular one-on-one support and academic advising, college and career based lessons, specialty workshops such as financial aid and scholarships, and a six week summer program (which includes two residential college experiences). Other services include assistance in applying for college, tutoring, college visits, cultural field trips, leadership development, and summer career internships.
