The Wynne Kiwanis Club is a branch of Kiwanis International, an organization dedicated to changing the world one child and one community at a time.
The Wynne Kiwanis club has been a staple among Wynne service organizations since April 1, 1971. Its membership is made of men and women of all ages and from all walks of life and vocations. While some of the club's faces have changed, it's primary goal to serve the children of the world hasn't. Since its inception in 1971, the Wynne Kiwanis Club has reached out to or sponsored the area schools, sports programs, Scouting, Boys & Girls clubs and many more youth oriented programs and projects. The club also sponsors 3 scholarships to area high school seniors to assist them with college tutition and fees expenses. A majority of the club's financial resourses comes from its Annual Kiwanis Peanuts Sale and its Pancake Day fundraisers.
The Wynne Kiwanis Club's weekly meetings are more than just the handling of club business. Each week features a different program or speaker from the community. Topics range from upcoming community events to educational programs. Every meeting is full of good food and fellowship. Come prepared to eat, laugh, and bulild realtionships with other members of the community.
The Wynne Kiwanis Club is also a proud sponsor of the Wynne Junior High School's Builder's Club and Wynne High School's Key Club. These clubs are desigend to raise up tomorrow's leaders. These clubs provide students with opportunities to learn leadership and social skills while serving thier communities.
The Wynne Kiwanis Club meets every Thursday morning at 6:45 at Kelley's Restuarant in Wynne. The club's board of directors meets on the 1st Thursday of each month following the club's regularly scheduled meeting.
