The only cat shelter in Lyon County, YACC is an all volunteer, private, nonprofit organization operating solely on donations.

Providing quality care to cats and kittens, YACC costs approximately $2,000 a month to run. YACC runs solely on donations and fundraising monies, and volunteers to help house and care for the cats. We make sure that all cats have the opportunity to play, exercise, and socialize on a daily basis for their well being.

All cats are spayed/neutered, de-wormed, and vet checked.

Adoption fees run: $50 for one cat/kitten
$25 for second cat/kitten
Seniors: $25 for each cat/kitten

Thanks to your support, the YACC Cat Shelter has accomplished a great deal since opening in June of 2012. We have sheltered 187 cats, 54 through foster care, and 149 have been adopted. That's a 79% adoption rate!
