Social Media Policies for Members, Followers, and Interactors:
The YMCA of the East Valley Association believes that in order to best serve our community, we must allow open dialogue between our Y and those we serve. As such, we value any and all comments, questions, and concerns. However, to ensure we align with best practices, and to respect the feelings and mindsets of all our members and constituents, we have established a social media policy. This policy intends to keep online conversations and posting s informative and respectful. Post that are found to be malicious or contain inappropriate content, shall be hence forth deemed as “inappropriate”, and may be subject to being hidden, removal, or blocked. User removal from all YMCA of the East Valley Association platforms, and potentially revocation of YMCA of the East Valley Association membership privileges, may also be considered. Our social media managers have the right to temporary hide postings they deem inappropriate until a social media panel may convene to make a more permanent decision.
