Dear Friends,

As a neighbor and a small business owner, I’d like to take a few moments of your time to tell you the story behind Herbe’s Ztown Café and Catering. Owning a restaurant has always been a dream of mine, but I never thought it would be possible to make that dream a reality. One day as I drove down Main Street in Zelienople, I saw a small restaurant for rent. After much prayer, consideration, and thought coupled with the opinions of two local business owners I have come to greatly respect, Drew Mathew of Mathew Jewelers and Mac McCrory of the Silversmith Shop, I knew that not following through with my dream may result in a lifetime of regret. On February 12th, 2007 by the grace of God and help from my family members and friends from the Harmony Zelienople United Methodist Church, I opened the doors to Herbe’s Ztown Café and Catering.
I began with a small menu consisting of soups, salads, and sandwiches in which the “Home of the $5.00 Meal” was born. As time passed, my menu grew larger. First, we added our delicious ice cream, followed closely by our fresh 1/3-pound burgers (not to mention our double-decker Herbe Burger) served with fresh cut fries. Next, we added our $8.95 dinner menu featuring all homemade dinner favorites including stuffed chicken breast, hand-breaded jumbo shrimp, London broil, fried chicken, and many others served with our freshly made sides such as homemade apple sauce, real mashed potatoes, pickled beets, and salads. Now, our newest addition is our $5.00 breakfast menu. Much like our $5.00 lunch, our $5.00 breakfast includes the meal, drink, and tax.
As Ztown continues to grow, I invite you to visit us again soon. Keep us in mind if you’re in need of a caterer: no job is too large or too small. Stop in for breakfast, lunch, or dinner or even just to say hello while you enjoy a fresh cup of Beecher’s coffee. Remember to save room for our homemade pies and delicious ice cream. We have grown and improved over the years, but one thing will never change; Ztown will always believe in serving the community with great food in a friendly, clean atmosphere.
